Dr. Keerthy Sunder, MD
Integrative Psychiatry
Dr. Keerthy Sunder is an experienced psychiatrist providing patient-centered care at Karma TMS in Palm Springs, CA. After graduating from Sawai Man Singh Medical College in Jaipur, India, Dr. Keerthy Sunder relocated to the United States to complete his psychiatry residency training at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Keerthy Sunder is board-certified in psychiatry and neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. With integrative psychiatry, he combines the power of the mind and the brain’s chemistry to help his patients achieve optimal mental wellness.

Dr. Yucui Chen, MD
Integrative Psychiatry
Yucui Chen, MD, is an integrative psychiatrist who provides compassionate, patient-focused care at Karma TMS PC in Palm Springs, California. After earning her medical degree at Shanxi Medical University in Jinzhong, China, Dr. Chen relocated to the United States to complete her residency training at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). She is board-certified in psychiatry Dr. Chen holds a medical license in several states, including California, Kentucky, and Nevada. To better serve the needs of the diverse community she treats, Dr. Chen is fluent in Mandarin and English.

Dr. Jack Yong Zhang, DO
Integrative Psychiatry
Dr. Zhang received his B.A. in Psychology at the University of California, San Diego and his D.O./MBA dual degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine/Troy University. Dr. Zhang served as Chief Resident of Psychiatry at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA during his residency training. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, experiencing new cultures, and eating dim sum.

Anjali Krishna

Chief Operations Manager

Anjali graduated with a masters degree in biosciences. She has received extensive training in Medical and Psychiatric Clinical Trials and holds research certification from the UCSD. As a sub-investigator overseeing numerous clinical trials in Schizophrenia, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, and Substance Disorders, Anjali mastered the art and science of psychometric data collection that included SCID, CAPS, BDI, HAM-D, EPDS and several other scales.Anjali transitioned from her Clinician Researcher role to business operations, human resource administration, and providing strategic oversight and direction to the growth of Karma Doctors & Karma TMS companies. Additionally, she enjoys the interface of Neurotechnology and Mental Health. In this role she has helped in the development and implementation of Karma EHR as well as training herself in the application of Neurofeedback, NuCalm, and TMS.

Jothsna Bodhanapati

Social Media Director

Jothsna recently graduated from Medical School and is an aspiring Family Medicine Physician interested in Integrative Medicine and Neuromodulation Modalities.She has extensive research experience from her time at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center & Western Psychiatric Hospital, where she participated in various projects involving Inpatient Child and Adolescent Bipolar Spectrum Services. Her journey with me began as an externship which transitioned into her current role as Practice Manager and TMS Clinician with Karma Doctors and Associates.Her roles as TMS Clinician include Pre-Screening & Patient Intake, Administration of Follow Up TMS sessions with documentation, Conducting Patient Assessment scales such as PHQ-9 & GAD-7, and Oversight of Patient and Staff scheduling. She also has an active role in training TMS Technicians.

Joshua Smith

Practice Manager

Joshua graduated from California Baptist University with a Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology. He also played collegiate baseball for California State University, San Bernardino where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology-Exercise Science. After his time at California Baptist, he began an internship with Dr. Sunder which transitioned into his current role with Karma Doctors & Associates.His all-inclusive role encompasses business development, oversight of trainee orientation, schedules, and graduation, as well as managing clinical and administrative staff for the thriving practice.Josh loves playing golf, hiking, and watching baseball.

Punit Patel, PA-C

Physician Associate

Punit Patel completed his Physician Assistant education at Arcadia University. Punit is passionate about integrative psychiatry, telepsychiatry and neuromodulation modalities. A movie buff, Punit can be found relaxing with Netflix in his spare time.

Alexandra Mendoza

TMS Neurotechnologist

Alexandra Mendoza graduated from UC San Diego in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a specialization in Cognitive Science. She has extensive experience in the field of Neuropsychology by having administered neuropsychological assessments for patients experiencing cognitive difficulties. She hopes to become a Clinical Neuropsychologist that specializes in Trauma in the future.

Rachel McDuffie, PA-C

Physician Associate

We are delighted to introduce the most experienced member of our team – Rachel McDuffie. Rachel graduated from Kansas State University with an undergraduate degree in Life Sciences, before pursuing her Physicians Associate Degree at Wichita State University as a National Health Service Corps Scholar, where she graduated Cum Lade.Rachel joined our team in 2018, but has been practicing since 2003 with more than 19 years of experience. She started her journey in Family Medicine, later transitioning into Surgery and Pain Management, before finding her true passion in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Rachel enjoys working toward improved quality of life outcomes for patients and sustained recovery through connection-based relationships.

Charles Vigilia

TMS Neurotechnologist

Charles Vigilia is a TMS Technologist and an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who has extensive experience working with children, adults, and families. He earned his master’s degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and his bachelor’s degree in Global Health with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. Charles incorporates TMS technology in conjunction with evidence based psychotherapeutic modalities to promote healthy brain functioning while simultaneously addressing various psychosocial determinants to mental health.
